The immune system protects our body from the harm substances unacceptable to our body. Immune system includes germs such as bacteria, fungi , viruses, and some chemical made by microbes called toxins.
There are 2 main
parts of the immune system:
- The
innate immune system.
- The adaptive immune system.
These 2 immune systems work together.
Immune system makes the special protein with the help of innate system called antibodies. Antibodies are produced against antigens or pathogens to protect our body from infections. The immune system are made in different organs of our body in which it includes:
- Adenoids. Two glands located at
the back of the nasal passage.
- Bone
marrow. The
soft, spongy tissue found in bone cavities.
- Lymph
nodes. Small
organs shaped like beans, which are located all over the body and connect
via the lymphatic vessels.
- Lymphatic
vessels. A
network of channels all over the body that carries lymphocytes to the
lymphoid organs and bloodstream.
- Peyer
patches. Lymphoid
tissue in the small intestine.
- Spleen. A fist-sized organ
located in the belly (abdominal) cavity.
- Thymus. Two lobes that join in front of the windpipe (trachea) behind the breastbone.
The immune system has a key role that it protects our body from germs , harmful substances and cell changes that could make you ill. Various organs ,cells and proteins together form a immune system.
The immune system is a network of biological processes that protects an organism from diseases. The immune system can be operated through lot of different materials that the body does not admit as its own. These substances are known as antigens. Some examples of antigens including the proteins on the surface of bacteria, viruses and fungi. There are two main sub components in the immune system, known as the non - specific or innate immune system and the specific or adaptive immune system. Both of these subsystems works and closely linked together whenever a harmful substances or a germ set off an immune response. The main function of the immune system is to prevent or limit infection.
Some ways to boost your immune systems are:
1) Stay up to date to your recommended vaccinations.
2) Maintain a healthy and balanced diet.
3) Try to add some physical activities in your routine.
4) Just try to keep yourself hydrated.
5) Take proper amount of sleep required to your body.
6) Minimize the stress .
